Somali Youth Resilience (SYR) is a politically independent organization based in Oslo. We empower youth in Norway and Somalia through education, mental health awareness, mentoring, and crime prevention.
We serve youth aged 10 to 23, taking participation seriously and helping young people become role models through values like Fair Play, teamwork, and legal awareness.
We utilize Rapid Assessment and Response to map out social and other problem areas in the community.
Facilitating everyday conversations about difficult topics such as substance abuse and violence.
Providing essential guidance to parents who are experiencing challenges with their youth.
Our programs include football skills, peacebuilding, and character development in Somalia, along with Fair Play training seminars in Jigjiga, Ethiopia.
Focusing on crime prevention, parenting guidance, and mentorship for youth pursuing sports careers.
